Are the grills on the 2000s different than the 2003s? I just bought a black pearl emblem kit for GS300 and on the box its stamped "Jul 11 2000". I tried putting the new front emblem in but it seems like the original one is wider. I can't fit the new one into the hole on the grill. Are they different for the years?

I believe the 98-00 have a different size grille emblem on them. I have a 98 and bought a sportsline grille and had to get the emblem as well.

Yup. LExus modified the grille for the 01-05 model. The grilles are interchangeable between the 98-00 and 01-05 models but the grille emblems are not.

same thing happened to me its a bummer, i had to ride around with no emblem for a week, (felt like everyone was stareing at me and pointing)
