I get about 350 miles per tank of gas .
Globe maybe you were driving the ES conservatively since its not a sporty car. Thats why it got better gas mileage than the GS .
I am kinda happy with my gas mileage . I took a trip to Arlington,TX ( about 550 mile ) and only had to stop once for gas and still had more than a half tank left when i got there.
I also contribute my good gas mileage to the SRT / HFI and ecu + greddy exhaust .
You can go about 40 - 70 miles when the light comes on . I wouldn't try to go 70 miles with the light on though . When i did them 70 miles , it was nerve racking . I was glad i made it to a gas station.

Just like 1niceride the best I ever got was about 350 miles - interstate - trip to Florida from Toronto.
Usualy I get about 250 city/highway mix.
Not bad for a V8 and weight of the car.

I was driving ALOT MORE AGGRESSIVE than with my GS. It's slower so I'll have to step on it harder to make it go as fast as the GS. Since they gave me a full tank I wasn't so worried about saving gas, so I also played around with it. If I drive my GS the way I did with the ES, I would have used the entire tank already.

Thats what happens when you watch your mpg guage, but then its no fun driving. Dont worry about the gas. Difference between a V8 and 6 cylinder is like $250 per year...Chump change, so sit back and stomp on that accelerator like it was ment to be!

I get around 300 miles before I fill up. Averaging around 19mpg, which is not bad with the way I drive.
Get this, my wife's new (used '98) Audi A6 2.8, with a dinky 200hp, gets around the exact same mileage, 19mpg. Of couse, it is all wheel drive which uses more, but she drives like a *****! I'm amazed, and pleased with my GS4 mileage.

Long ago, in a land far away in space and time, there was something called the CARBURETOR. All gasoline engines had one or sometimes two or three or more. There was not something called the computer insofar as could be applied to the automobile.
The cars could not turn (well). They could not stop (well). But with enough carburetors and cubic inches (the things we used to measure the engine in), they could go like hell! They got gas mileage that might possibly have been better called gas yardage. Typical high performance machinery was lucky to acheive 10 mpg under ANY circumstance.
Let's not even get started on driveability, luxury, convenience, or build quality. But they were easy to work on.
Requiescat in pace.
I can afford my 430. I can also afford the gas. Long live the King!!!

Manaray, yowza!!! I learned how to drive in a 58 MGA but most of my driving was done behind a small block Chevy. One of my favorite all-time allstars is the 1970 SS Chevelle and there is no sound on earth like those secondaries opening up!!!!!
