"Difference between a V8 and 6 cylinder is like $250 per year...Chump change, so sit back and stomp on that accelerator like it was ment to be!"

Are you serious? Only $250 a yr? You have to be sick. I spend $80-$100 a week on gas....I have my fun, and there are times when im jsut coasting with the rest of traffic. I would save at least 20 bucks a week if i had a v6...making it a grand a year....but HEY I DONT CARE. I bought this car for the *****, and Im sure as hell gonna appreciate it. If we didnt have the money to maintain and feed the V8, we had no business buying it. I guess we are lucky. The car must be lucky too that it gets a about 16 new gallons of 93 every other day or so hahaha.

Got 275 on the od right now and a 1/4 tank left. That's half and half driving. In the city it's around 18 and highway about 24. Not bad for a such a good ride. My old mustang only got 22 on the highway and my corolla gets about 30 with a three speed tranny! My wife really like that corolla for city driving. Actually, so do I.

I think any six or eight sucks gas. And of course, the GS isn't a light car. It's got to reliable because it's too heavy to push!

First long road trip in my (pre-owned .. the luxury word for used) GS400 has these results ...

95% Highway driving.
Avg. Speed ~85 mph on highways ... some higher speed short time runs ...

5% City ..
No more than 40 miles city driving ...
Light- Med. Traffic

21.1 MPG 920 Miles, 43.5 gallons of gas.

Best tank ever was high speed cruising .. 350 miles 15.6 gallons this weekend. 91 octane 22.3 mpg

Worst tank ever .. 241 miles 16 gallons 89 octane
15.0 MPG

I used to have a civic HB... the VX.... used to get 42+ MPG consistently ...

but I like the GS better.

Let's say you get four more miles per gallon driving a six versus an eight cylinder. You buy one tank of gas every seven days. Do the math on that and you're only saving about $220 a year. It's not a grand unless you're filling your car up four times a week.

I do fill up 4 times a week...3 times minimum, and if I go out somewhere on weekends, make it 4...I've done 5 before too. Now I know I might be nuts, but does a GS400 owner actually exist that only fills once a week???? You must go absolutely nowhere.

With my civic I have seen numbers as low as 1 liter of gas for 8 kilometers of driving pleasure. Mind you, this is for a 1.5 engine.

I fill up twice a month, I don't live to far from work.

I fill up once every two weeks. I have two cars, and I do something called work. And I live a few miles from work. Even when I drove 120 miles each day I would only fill up twice a week. Where do you go? You must not live in a city.

Let's see, 300x4=1200 miles a week. You'll have a 100k on your car in 2 years.
