am I correct that the DVD is the only major upgrade from 02-03?

Not telling you what to do, but here is what I would do. If you would consider a car that has been in a accident, then ask them to take the car to the nearest Lex dealer and get it checked out. If you want to go, take it yourself. Be sure that it was repaired correctly to Lexus Body damage repair specs.
If it ok, make a offer based on the inspection, car fax report, and history. $ 10K discount seems to be a good price for that car if it is repaired correctly and you are ok with it.
If everything checks out, $24K or $23K is good. Shop autotrader, and Ebay, but I always have used cars inspected before buying. Good Luck.

I would definately jump on that one (the one from TN). It looks SHARP, plus it's still under factory warranty (probably not for long but hey). The price seems more than do-able for me. Let us know what you decide. Good Luck

I would skip it bro. Although it might look good from the outside, I wouldnt trust the frame damage IF there was a frame damage. You'll regret it later on when little knick knacks starts causing you trouble.
Also, the price...I guess it's fairy a good deal if it was a not in an accident...but the accident worries me.

You see this one. Make a offer below their price and run a CarFax. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...e=&cardist=207

I would see if you can track down the shop that did the repair on the car to see what the extent on the damage was, maybe see if you can get ahold of the police and see what they say about the accident. If it was minor and not really that serious then I don't see why you should skip it, alot of used cars have been in minor accidents. Definitely take it to get it inspected from someone you trust. If you go there find the closest Lexus dealer and schedule an appointment for an inspection and tell them to especially look for the area that was damaged. The only reason I might say skip it is that you are going to be flying out there and renting a car which seems like more hastle then its worth for buying a used car especially if you don't end up getting it then you just wasted all that time and money. I would just wait for a local car or something that is a fairly resonable distance that you can just drive to.

I just traded My silver '04 GS 430, loaded (Mark lev, black leather interior, spoiler, chrome 17" wheels) last week. It was a certified car an I was the second owner. The original owner was from MI. If you relally want a nice GS 430 PM and I will tell u the dealer I traded it into, plus what I got for it so you can negiotate with an advantage....for once.
let ke know. I AM NOT A DEALER. I m just looking to point you in the right diresction for a quality, well kept car..that was never wrecked.
Good luck in what ever u decide.
The car was traded to an IL dealer.

I bought an 04 GS 430 Certified Preowned with 58,000mi, ML, Nav,Chrome 17" wheels, Spoiler, black leather for $27,700 at McGrath Lexus in Chicago. The guy to contact is David Moore he will find you one and they deliver all over the country.

My two cents: I think you should go with the second one assuming it has no accident history, the leather on the driver's seat looks real good for an '02 as well, thats a very small, but good sign of an owner who probably took care of the car. Good luck.

If it's a salvage or similar title, I would agree wit h passing. However, nothing indicates that the title status on the car has been affected. In fact, it might just be a run of the mill fender bender. We'll only know once an expert has seen the car and I don't think the Lexus dealer is the best or only outfit for that job. Is it worth it? The poster in question has lots of other cars to compare it against now.

* Yes, I'm understand that Carfax is far from perfect (missing data, wrong data, missing accidents, etc) and is only as good as the information input into their system.
* By the way, the GA GS trade-in or autotrader GS should be followed-up on...do the carfax on them, too! (Since I'm in the SLC area, I don't want anyone thinking that I have anything to do with this car! It's not me. It's not my car. I have never seen the car...)

FYI.. 2 accidents in 2004. One in March as well. Both accidents around $2000 damage so I doubt any serious frame dmg (if any). I'd consider buying the car. I bought an 2003 GS430, blk/blk, 37k, ML/nav, upgraded chromes for $27,000 in Oct.
