I must have way too much time on my hands. I was thinking that it might be kind of fun (especially for CL members who have been around for a while with a high post count) to go back and find your first post on Club Lexus.
Here's mine (on April 28, 2004):
Would anyone else care to join in the fun? It's easy. Just go to the search link and click on advanced search. Enter your CL name under "User Name", but before you hit enter, make sure to change the setting to sort the results in "ascending order" (otherwise, if you have more than 500 posts, you'll only pull up your last 500). Your first post should be the first thread on the list. Open the thread, then click "quote" on your first post, highlight it (including the "quote" brackets at the beginning and end of the post), copy it and then paste it into a response to this thread.

EDIT -- it would be interesting to include the date of the post too. Mine was in April 28, 2004.
Here's mine (on April 28, 2004):
Hi guys (and girls). I am new to this forum (and to the GS 400 world). I recently purchased a 1998 GS 400, alpine silver/black interior. I wanted the car 6 years ago, but my wife decided that she would rather have the ES 300 (oyster pearl, front wheel drive, not as flashy, you get the idea). Anyway, 4 years and 2 kids later, she got the Acura MDX and I got stuck with the ES. Nice car, but really not for me. After 2 years, I couldn't take it anymore, so I sold the ES and bought the GS. I couldn't be happier.
The car came with the standard Lexus premium stereo. Although the CD sounds very good, the radio just sounds terrible. I don't think it's the reception, although I suppose it could be (the rear window is tinted -- could that affect reception?). The best way to describe it is that it just sounds dead. I know it's not the Nakamichi, but it's not an AC/Delco either. The Lexus dealer tells me that it's probably a faulty head unit, but I would rather not spend $500 to $600 on a new head unit, only to find out that there is some other problem. The CD cranks up clear and loud, so I don't think it's the amplifier. Anyway, has anyone else out there experienced this problem? If so, can it be corrected?
On a related note, is it possible to convert the standard system to the Nakamichi system? If so, has anyone done this and what's involved in the process? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Oh my God! Well I am 16 years old I just turned about a week ago. Well my dad just bought a new truck and gave me his 1999 GS300. I am so stoked. It is like the champagne color with tan interior. HID's, Nav, it is just loaded. I am so happy right now and am about to upgrade the stereo system with some subs. I was thinking like 2 10's in a sealed box in the trunk then take out the stock so its ported a little. Tell me what you think.

Hello Everyone,
Im new on this forum. Here are pix of the mods I have done so far. Hope you guys like em!
Some info about my car. I bought the last 2nd gen GS from Park Place Lexus in Plano, TX about two months ago. The VERY LAST 2nd Gen GS on their lot! Me buying the last car has some drawbacks...mainly that I couldn't pick what options I wanted. Other than that the car is kickin ***! The car came stock with Halogen headlights. I got to admit they lit up the road very well considering they were halogens. However, I wanted better so I did a BMW M5 Bi-Xenon HID retrofit and its holding up great so far. Numerous people have asked me why I didn't get the 3rd gen. Simply put, I got a bad *** deal on this
Now, on with the pics. Enjoy!
BTW....L-Tuned Exhaust in a week!![Woot](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/woot.gif)
