Hello All! I recently bought a pair of OEM HID lights for my 2000 GS300. The one ballast measures a short (0 Ohms) across the connector, so I don't want to plug it in. The other one measures (1 Meg Ohms), this one I plugged in and it works fine. Do you think I need a new ballast? The P/N is 85967-30031. Where can I get one at a reasonable price? Thanks in advance!!

 

plug in the 0 ohms and see if it works, if its dead, ebay is usually the cheapest.

 

You might of blown the internal fuse. Yes there is one, but it's pretty hard to replace. Your best bet will be to buy a new ballast off ebay. Shouldn't be more than $150.

I had the problem with my 2000 GS300 driver side low beam. I've checked both fuses and bulbs and pretty sure they are still good, because I did bought a brand new OEM set of light bulbs. Would you please advise me what to do next ? Connections / Ballast / Hardness ? By the way, how did you fix yours ? Thanks.

 

I got my pair of replacement ballast from ebay for $51 with shipping and all and its been working great! ebay ftmfw
