This might not be the right forum for this question but I want to know what the GS guys think. I'm in the market for a CD/DVD/Nav and I want to know what you guys think is the best option. I'm really considering the Eclipse AVN5435 for price and functionality. My budget is no more than $1500. Tell me what you guys are running, pix if possible and what you like and dislike about your unit.

i got the avn 2454 and i love it. only difference between this and the 5435 is the volume button which was moved to the left side on the newer one(5435).
nav system is great, dvd isgreat and i love the mp3.
go for it.
i will try to get some pics.
BTW, you will get better feedback in tne mobile, audio section .

I am looking to install nav too.
Pioneer AVIC-Z1 is around 1500 on ebay, brand new.
AVIC-D3 is 1000, coming out in March.

Is Nav Install a DIY job?

I was thinking about doing the Pioneer AVIC-Z1. I want DVD and Nav and I have seen them new on Ebay for $1,300 even.

I like the Eclipse because it sits flush as opposed to the ones that flip out. I'm sure the motor gets damaged at some point and would cost a lot to replace. Plus I think the flush-mount ones look better, more of a stock look. I'm pretty much set on getting the AVN5435.

My friend has the Pioneer avic-z1. It's an awesome unit.

That's not a Z1, the Z1 is a flush install not a flip out.

I have AVN 5435 i had it in myIntegra but now that i got a GS but now i am considering the AVN 6600

What I don't like about those Pioneers is that they don't play DVD movies just the DVD navigation discs.

i have a alpine w200 im pleased with it somewhat except for it not having built in navigation. but im soon picking p my friends eclipse 5500 for 1300 thats if i can find someone to buy my w200

5510 should be coming out soon.
its very similar to 6600, only 500 bucks cheaper
