CF hood on a light colored 2GS. Would you paint it or not?

on the GS...it can be done but very difficult to add CF without sacrificing the "clean" look imo...again there are some examples on CL that have done it tastefully.
what would i do? i know...it may sound like a TOTAL waste but i would opt for a sessions hood (i believe this hood is dry carbon and you can see the CF weave is visible under the hood)...I would prolly paint the color match the whole hood to look just like the stock one...i know...it is carbon fiber...but still i think that idea is the best of both worlds...
1. you still keep the "clean" look
2. lightweight vs. OEM hood.
3. opening the hood and seeing the CF weave is soo nice...especially with an impressive engine setup.
the only issue about CF hood is the hood strut issue...I heard we need to mod the stock ones? or we need lightweight shocks? I forgot...but something to that extent.
my future plan is 2jz gte conversion (stock turbos) and painted sessions hood (i will only paint the top...underneath i will leave it CF)

It costs a pretty penny - something like > $2K http://l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=991
And yes the hood struts need to be replaced with less powerful ones.

i think it depends wat ur goin for. like vip or luxury sport. if u r goin for vip u should probably paint it and if ur goin for luxury sport u should leave it. also depends on the color of ur car too i guess. i think black w/o paint on a CF hoods looks really nice though

you can do it like clark's 3rd gen GS. he painted the sides but instead of a crisp line between the paint and the raw CF, he faded it in - looks WAY hot.
i personally would do some silver translucent vinyl for 3 reasons:
1) protects the CF from the UV rays
2) somewhat see through and gives it that silver look.
3) removable so I can go back to my stock hood and then sell the CF hood.
