No, I don't have a CF hood, just wondering what you guys would do if you had one.

Does leaving it unpainted make it look rice?

Another option would be to paint it in a specific design, such as painting the outer sections of the hood starting at the line of the hood going diagonally up along that line to match the body color. Leaving the middle section bare CF.

Edit: Thanks to Lettuce, here is the pic

Here is another alternative that a BMW owner did to his M3. He painted it a light tint of the same color of his car. Looks awesome to me!

Thanks to 1SICKLEX, here is a tinted one on a GS:

What I did to my CF hood on my Legend Coupe was I painted the entire hood except for 3 vents that were 1.5" x 4"... I'll find a pict when I get home...

If I absolutely had to keep it I would paint it.

Interesting. So they are not really "vents" but just made to look like vents?

I guess it really depends on the color of the car. I think it would look nice on a white, black, silver or blue GS to leave it CF. Almost any other color I would probably color match it to the car.

Thanks I guess I should have clarified which light color I was referring to.

In this case the car is silver.

silver eh
that would be hard to tint wouldnt it?
prob painting it would be better for such a light colored paint
are there any silver tinted CF hoods out there that we can see?

I honestly don't know how hard it would be to tint with silver....... hmmmm....

I don't have any pics of one done like that.

I wonder how easy it would chip off from being hit by stones because the paint would be so thin? Another thing to consider I guess for whomsover does this.

I dont think I would want to paint the whole thing, maybe some type of paint design to incorporate the CF?

Please remember to vote, Lettuce and elaborate on what design you have in mind.
