Water on drivers side floor, cracked evap case
I know this has been posted before, but has anyone yet attempted a DIY project to seal the cracked evaporator case?
Dealer quoted $1088 to remove dash and seal the crack. I was thinking of taking it to a reliable private mechanic to save some $$. Thought I would see if anyone tried it themself yet?
Thanks!

Was the dealer 100% sure it is the evap?
I had the same problem with water on the driver floor. But it turned out to be a clogged drain tube under the car.
You may want to tried that first (took me 2 trys to unclog it) before ripping apart the dash!

I read some other people had the same problem, then when I took it to the dealer they diagnosed it as a cracked evap case too(I didn't hint what I thought it was). Do you remember where under the car the tube was located? I imagine somewhere near the driver side door/wheel? Did you use the vacuum or blower from a shop vac to clear it?
