Will look nicer with the drop, but you don't have to drop it. If you're in a budget now but plan on upgrading later, just ride it out and wait till you have the cash for some Tein CS. My opinion though.

don't know on price, but 245/40 is the correct tire size.

I'm running 235 40's ...not a big difference...the 240s might save you from more curbs though

i've also got 245/40

Give Falken tires a try. Tirerack and Tires.com seem to have the best prices.

Not big on chrome with silver exterior...these babies shine in the sun though. Silver looks better on silver IMO

Yea, i wouldn't chrome them, too hard to keep clean. I used to have Ls430 18"s on my GS and i enjoyed just power washing them clean rather than messing around with chrome polish and what not.

has your MPG dropped after switching to 18"?

IMHO, you dont really need to drop it if you are on a budget
if u feel like you really must drop it then save up for Tein CS v2.0 when you are ready

Same advice I got when I first posted pics last spring. It does look weird driving with that kind of gap but shortly that'll change.

I like the stock finish more than chrome too. the color is actually called titanium, but it's more silver to me.
