Good point ....What the hell am I thinking.....Duh....I am in penny pinching mode because of this damn economy. Hey I was chatting with this one fool with an S4....He said he put a chip in it and got 340 hp ....Is this possible...?????

Yes it is. My buddy did it to his S4, and let me tell you the thing FLIES! It is very easy to do to a forced induction car. That will change next year when the new S4 has the 340HP V8.

Default Wheel Speed Sensors

Upon spending even more time with both volumes of the Lexus manuals on the GS, please keep comments about my life to a minimum, I have found that the signal generation for wheel speed, which then goes to the ABS and other systems, has nothing to do with the brake rotor. There is a separate serrated rotor on the axle that is used to generate this signal. Rotors, regardless of vendor, may bugger something else up but they shouldn't interfere with the wheel speed sensors at all.

Do these fit on a 97 ES300? Any Idea?

Well, I just got mine installed today along with my new tires, and the rotors look pretty cool. I didn't really look at them too closely, and I only drove 1 mile on the new pads so I can't comment on that. When I do I will let you know.

Congrats. Would love to know what you think of the brake feel - whether it seems different. Also, did you get stainless brake lines? If not, will you?

That's a pretty good price if you ask me. Stock pads and rotors are more expansive if I purchase them directly from dealer. Will definitely do this upgrade next time I change the brake pads and rotors. Can't wait.

Well, I had the pads/rotors/tires installed last Wednesday, so I have but on a couple of hundred miles since then, enough to give me an impression.

I can state without a doubt that I have more brake feel. It is subtle, but noticeable, like the steering ECU. FYI, I did not get the stainless steel brake line, and I have no idea if I will upgrade to that. Since the brakes are new I have not done any sharp braking so I cannot talk about braking distances. I even turn off the VSC so I do not accidentally invoke the ABS system. I can tell you that the brakes are definately more responsive and the car slows with less effort. Hopefully I will not have to test their full capabilities for a couple more weeks . With almost a week on them, I feel my money was very well spent.
