Question Who Knows How To Cross Ref LEDs

OK - how do you do this?

Based on wattage?
Incadescent bulb measurements?
Connect type?

I've looked on some LED websites and I can't seem to discern what LED bulb will replace what incadescent bulb.

TIA

You really don't crossref LED's to bulbs. What you have to look for is the output from the bulb and find an LED, in the necessary color, that will have the right amount of output. It may take several LED's to have the output of one bulb. You also must take into consideration the amount of voltage you are going to have. Some LED's will not work well at 12-14 volts, they burn out. You then have to limit the current going to the LED with a resistor or a transistor circuit. With the new superbright LED's out you should be able to find one that will work. I changed all my dash lights in my truck to LED's about 4 years ago since the bulbs were a pain to replace. Hope this helps!

Check out this link and look at the pics....You probably wont be able to read it because its in Japanese...
I looks like the Aristo guys in Japan appear to be using LED's for FRONT lights?!?!?!?!

Also, look at these PIAA 6000K HID bulbs..I think these are the ones that Globe was talking about...

Hmm...from the look of things, those guys are using LED's for the wedge bulbs?

From a lot of those pics, it looks like they're focusing on a light shining from within the inner headlight housing....and damn, it looks bright!!

What the hell are these LED bulbs plugging into?? The only thing I can think of is that these bulbs are much smaller than they appear and plug into the "push-in" connector of the inner wedge bulb.

Also, whats up with the diagrams in the beginning. Are they making these things from scratch? Talk about DIYers...

Anyways, could someone possibily translate this so it makes some sense?

By the way....

I DO have a set of LED wedge bulbs that I bought from a guy on IS300.net.

They are Cuzo brand and basically look like a regular wedge bulb, yet it contains 1 (i think) LED "encased" in a housing that makes it look basically like a normal wedge bulb. I have yet to try these out, but I'm guessing they're not gonna be much of an improvement over regular wedge bulbs (maybe even a de-provement ), and are only pretty cool because of their novelty factor.

Here is a pic of blue LED wedge bulbs on my GS.

The LEDs plugs right in.

They are 12V 5W bulbs from MAX.

No problems w/ cops or w/ the LEDs yet. I just think the LEDs are too blue.

I think these LEDs are replacements for the dual Filament 1157 tail/brake lights

The LED's rotate in a circle when tailights or marker lights are on and flash when brakes are applied:

EDIT: I just found out that those LEDs wont fit

The_Best_GS,

Wow! Those looks great!

Where can I buy those same LED wedge bulbs? Who or what is MAX?

Do you know if those same LED wedge bulbs can fit in the side clear bumper lenses?

Thanks,
Manuel
