The flat black and black chrome are nothing new guys so lets not bash the guys car so hard.
Its just getting around to this specific group. I for one am all for new things and taking risks. The only thing that I can say is contrast is needed in wheels (IMO) to keep things from just running together with the tires. Even if its just the edge of the lip painted or left chrome etc it gives definition and draws the eye to the outer circumference of the wheel. When its all one color (even if its different shades and finishes of the same color) it sort of all runs together with the tire.
That's probably why the resistance. I'd bet that with the kit and other trim detailing (to tie it all in) the car will be a hit.
to you for stepping out of the box and goodluck on the remainder of the project.

i kinda like the overall look of that wheel you have, color too
..but im not enjoying the rear tire stretch at all, just doesnt do it for me.. ive got a 20x9.5 in the back on my gs and im running a 275/30/20... personal preference i guess but that just doesnt look right to me.. on a side note, please stay as far away from curbs as possible, the built in "rim protector bar" the nitto 555 features (i have these tires as well) is rendered completely useless with that stretch. not saying your gonna go hunting for them but it can happen easier then you think and youve got ZERO between that sick lip and anything else now.
