it seems to me that the slim version has less leds on the outter edge

i guess performance wise, the non-slim version lights up better (more leds) but the non-slim looks better when it's not lit.

too bad they can't incorporate the best of both.

Then again, the inside of the slim version has more LEDs than the non-slim one. So its a trade off of the two

I spotted these on a black on biege GS400 downtown on Saturday. I had a quick converstation at the light with him and he purchased his from EBAY. I asked if he was on the site but he declined. Maybe he'll join, in anycase the lights look nice. A little dim for LED but nice when they light up and when the running lights are activated.

Do you think that the inner LED lights that companies are selling would match with the thinner LEDs for sale on Ebay? Does anyone know who the manufacturer of the thinner LED lights is?

Ian you saw my lights i got them from carson iam very happy with them id buy from carson cause the first set i got was broken carson immeadetly exchanged them out you never know what your going to get when buying frome ebay and if they arrive broken the seller might think you did it LOL so i say carson and my opinion for your application go with the smoked version

actually the slim signal LED lights have more LED. The picture posted was taken out from ebay or something and I thought the same, but when i got the slimmer clear LED, it lit up totally different from the picture, it has way TOO MUCH LEDs. From the side angle where the reflectors are located, there are more LEDs but couldn't tell from side angle. I'm still trying to post up pictures, but my digital camera is broken. Soon i promise!

I bought my set of slimmer version LED from ebay and it's made by Sonar. (made it taiwan) and i use the inner LEDs from k2motor. Surprisingly it matches pretty good. I hate to say this again, but i will post pic as soon as i get a digital camera or borrow one. I tried taking pictures with my camera phone but the light reflects back and ruin the picture.

Quick question.... does installing these LED tail lights, do you get a tail light indication warning lamp on the dash?

I installed the thinner LED outter lights and inner lights from another set, my dash indicator light is on, but no idea is it from the outta or the inner. Just pull the bulb out, takes like 5 minutes.

I would rather upgrade to the gs430 taillights so i dont get the indicator lamp on the dash. Unless somebody knows how to disable the indicator lamp.
