eBay LED taillights = Carson LED taillights?

I've read that they are different brand of lights, that the eBay ones have more LED and are brighter.

Anyone actually have seen both in person?

haven't seen either in person, but id do with the cheaper ebay ones. They are short money and still look great!!! I'm a bargin hunter

I think Jefftsai bought the one on ebay and he's pretty happy with them. He might have posted a pic or two also, but I can't recall.

Personally, I'm not a fan of LED. It looks funny the way they set it up on the taillights. the JP tails are probably the best looking one for me. The white section is smaller and the ring inside the taillight is bigger too.

The 4 piece set off ebay from K2Motor is manufactured by Sonar. That's also the same company that makes the JP/Wise tails. They are identical.

Now the LED tails with the slimmer clear section, I have no idea who makes those.

There's different styles of lights on ebay thats for sure.. Make sure you get the one that looks like more of the JP tails instead of the wise.. I think the thinner clear area looks better than the WISE tails.. IMO... GL

DCMANGO, since everyone is so exited for your GS project I think you should get the cleared LEDs from Ebay (made by Sonar) along with the clear inners (unfortunately not in LED, but you seem to be a really crafty guy, maybe you can hook something up ) and smoke them all out. With that two tone paint it would look CRAZY ! Perhaps this would settle the "hatin' " from all the members who are appalled by the "clear ricey look", as it has been described. "IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL .....!

I agree. They flow better with the car and they look like the oe 2001+ minus the amber part.

does anyone have feedback on the slimmer white section from ebay. are they as good as the ones from sonar?

i've seen some that looks like the sonar version but it was not made by sonar so i know there are a lot of different mfg out there making our tail lights.
