Anyone know How do you change the Auto headlight off delay?
I looked in the owners manual and all I keep seeing is talk to you Lexus dealer. The only problem is the closest dealer is 2 hours away. I want the auto headlights to go off as soon as I turn the engine off not 2 minutes later.
Any help would be great
Thanks,
Matt

Go see the dealer
it's part of the C-BEST settings, and only the dealer can adjust those. It's free.
I think you can set it to 30 sec./60 sec./2 min. or something. Multiple stages. And of course you can make it so it turns off right away.
You do know that by lockin the door twice with the remote will turn off the headlights right? Even if they're ON not on AUTO.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling that it was something you had to do with that hand held computer thing. I did know about the double lock turns them off, but I don't usually lock it in my garage
thanks,
Matt

I always leave my lights on at night....... then when my friend asks "why's ur light still on" I go "oh let me turn it off" then lock it again and it shuts off. Good conversation starter

no problem
I'm surprised to see that many of us don't know about this. They should've included it in the manual. It's VERY convenient. Like if you're out somewhere at night, turning the lights off with the remote means you've locked the doors properly. Very handy.

If you are known to the dealer and roll it into other service you may be able to get it done for free.

No. Depends on the dealer (and how well they know you). Dealers will charge ($25-$100) to do C-Best programming whether you are under warranty or not. It's not a warranty item.

I've adjusted C-BEST settings 3 times (Once at 500mile checkup, once at 5000 and once at 10000 mile service) they're all free at Longo. I think don't charge anything at all.

I've never been charged for having my C-BEST setting changed on my GS400 or on my current GS430. I think charging the customer on something they can't access without the dealership's help is plain wrong. D-MAN if you have problems, Rallye Lexus hasn't charged me for changing my settings and I purchased my car from Lexus of Massapequa, FYI.

Thanks everyone for the help. Since now I know that dealers MAY charge, the ever so loving Bay Ridge Lexus WILL probably charge for C-BEST
GS430 GUY, thanks for the tip !

Hey that headlight trick is cool! Are there any other cool features that I should know about? I just bought a 98 GS300 and it didn't come with the owner's manual. Just wondering what else I am missin!!!!
