my GS had hydrolock and now unning rich.. need some help..
dropped my car off at to get the tints removed and i picked it up and the car would not start... so i had the car towed and thought it was the starter.. anyway.. changed the starter and battery.. still no start.. took out all the plugs and cranked it.. it spit out alot of gas in the spark plug holes.. then i installed all the plugs and cranked it.. alot of times.. it finally started butit was alot smoking alot.. it's not burning all the fuel.. i decided ton istall new plugs and cranked it again.. fired right up but it's still not burning all the fuel.. it's starting to fowl my new plugs.. anybody run into this problem? what could it be? anything i need to check? let me know before i tow it to the dealer..btw.. my car is a 99 GS4 with 87k miles.. tnx

i'm a little confused by your post... hydrolocking involves water ingestion through the air intake into the cylinders. water is not compressible and causes damage during the compression stoke, ranging from bent valves to connecting rods. from what i understand of your post, this didn't happen to you?

sorry for the confusion.. what i meant by hydrolock is actual liquid fuel spitting out of the spark plug holes when i removed and spark plugs and turned the engine using a socket and a ratchet.. i don't think any valves are bent.. just that it's running richer and fouling my plugs.. also, the car is running rough

Is the check engine light lit? Any other lights on the gauge cluster? Off the top of my head, it could be the MAF sensor. Or try resetting the ECU to see if that helps.
Did you install any intake recently? Some of those really crappy and cheap intakes aren't engineered with the correct flow velocity for the MAF sensor and can cause some weird stuff to happen with the engine.
