that would be a good item to get from one of those "you pull it" junkyards.
Yeah. that's a possibility, but it looks like you would still need to take apart a lot of stuff to actually replace the belt assembly, don't you think?
For those of you who used superglue, did you apply it to the underside of plastic piece or to the perimeter of the opening on the base? I'm thinking it would be cleaner to apply the glue directly to the base.
By the way, I can't believe how many people have this issue. I've never seen any threads about it.
I did both sides e-man. Be prepared to wipe off the excess. Use a towel, not paper towel.
I used superglue so had to blow on it to speed up.
Yeah, no one talked about this, just assumed everyone glued it back together
I just pushed it back in hella hard and it snapped back. If it cdomes off again I will Superglue it.
That will work, but only if all three clips are still intact. If one has broken off (particularly the one on the side by itself), the piece will not stay in place.
I went out over lunch and bought some superglue. I applied it to the base itself (as opposed to the plastic piece). It set in about a minute. If it pops out again, I'll just reglue it.
