We all know the saying.."To each his own". I would've bought the LS but looks too much like the old S class...very unoriginal and looks similar to the avalon. I couldn't be happier with the Q after owning the GS, Mercedes and other luxury cars. I never had a car drawn to me the way this car has. When you sit in it you just melt. I've known many people in CA to trade their Lex in for the new Q.

I've heard that you can buy Q45's for dealer cost or less...so a fully loaded (ULish package) will cost just a hair over $50K.

With that kinda price, it's hard to beat. You can't get a LS430 for anywhere near that price.

Personally, I like the Q45. As a former Infiniti owner, I know the pros and cons of the brand first hand. Service is par with Lexus. What nice though is that they're not as busy as the Lexus dealerships so the service coordinators get to know you quicker. I've only had top notch service from Infiniti. Lexus as been good too but with the amount of work they need to handle, they're a little too busy SOMETIMES...(but that could depend on the dealerships...the ones I went to were next to each other).

The new Infintis give you a LOT of car for the money...I don't know if I can say that Infiniti is BETTER than Lexus though. Lexus has MUCH better design (though the new Q and the I aren't exactly ugly...especially when you fix them up) and better resale value....and until Infiniti brings over something comparable to the GS series, I don't think a comparison should be made...

Dunno, in the end, it's up to buyer...

agree with manaray...the Qs have been a very attractive buy, but since its intro in 89, the advertising frim kind of messed up the campaign, so the sales are not up to par with the LS. it is a good car for the price, and every end, LA dealers are always giving HUGH discount.

Oh yeah, real original, seeing as the GS came out to compete with the 5 series. Stunning? Um, yes, I'm sure it is, but you're forgetting about 5 other sedans. Let's see, M5, 540i, E55 AMG, C32 AMG, I could go on and on.

And I don't know how all the LS430 people are cracking on the Q's styling, the LS isn't exactly pretty itself. I'm not saying the Q is the prettiest car in the world, but at least it doesn't get cracked on by car magazines.

Oh, BTW, if you don't care about speed get the BMW, those headlights are phat! If you do care about speed get a 540i.
