Default Hey guys i have a lighting problem

hey guys let me give you the run down on my symptoms. Well it was raining pretty hard here last week and eversince then one of my headleads on the passenger sides always seeks moisture when it gets wet. Well to make a long story short. It completly shut off. Now when i turn on my lights that side only (flickers) and about a minute later it shuts off. Do you think its my bulb that i messed up or do you think it is a wiring problem?

If it's just moisture and the headlight didn't get soaked with water, it may be the bulb. My HID bulb had the same symptoms before it completely died on me. It would flicker and then turn a purple color and then totally shut off. Another member pointed out to me that the round plastic cap (twist type) that seals the back of your headlight is to prevent moisture from getting in. I think it may be there to protect the bulb moreso than the wires.

yeah, and check your seals. the whol headlight has a seal built into the edge. sounds like water trickled in from behind and got to the bulb. could also be a loose connection if you are using aftermarket hid's. if you continue to have moisture in your headlight, take the bulb out and tie a silicone pack to a string, you may find one in your jacket pocket, and put it in the housing. i've found that to be the best solution to headlight condensation then if you have the ability to take the light housing off re seal and check again. just sounds like a bulb to me since it is flickering.
