Yea it was weird. It was dark, about 15 degrees outside. My friend and I couldn't wait to instal my intake. So it took us about an hour, we were paying too much attention to detail and such. Everything went on without a glitch. Took if for and ride, and holy cow it puts a smile on my face every time.

Sound wise it is pretty much perfect. While cruising, nothing at all. In power mode or normal, same thing. It stays quiet pretty much the hole time. I was doing 100mph today in the morning, pretty much silent, the occasional snarl, but that was just while getting up to speed. But if you nail it, you know something is up. It is really, really loud. My friend revved it while in the garage, and you can feel the sound vibration in the floor.

As far as performance. I don't know if people really loose bottom end. My car peeled out like a monster yesterday. And I tried to peel out like 15 times before the intake. The first time I punched it, and the last time I punched it, it really took off hard. Top end though, now that is sweet. You hear the VVTi switch over. The intake tone changes, a-lot, it doesn't get louder, quieter if anything, but it sounds like the air is going in faster. The VVTi switch, you hear it, and you feel it. I might not have noticed this before, but then that happens, my rear actually squats hard. Both my friend and I never noticed that before. Top end is definitely improved. We did a couple of runs with music blasting to the max, so as not to be influenced by the sound, and it really gets going on the top end. I did not feel it get any slower on the low end.

Deffinatelly worth it for half the price. lol.

Yup, I like it. Makes me realize I need an exhaust. But i need one that will stay quiet all the time, and get rediculous like my boys AMG when he punches it. I need one like that.

Ah, yes a 15 degree crisp night with that SRT intake is awesome. Couple that with ANY exhaust, and it's blissful for a performance enthusiast for sure.

That intake roar is like someone injecting a whole syringe full of adrenaline into your body. Sometimes you get goose pimples as the scenery starts to blur...

ooh, i have a crapy phone vid of my car doing a flyby. You can hear the intake, and a rolling peel out. I don't know how to even host it. So if anyone wants to see, give me your email, and I will send it to you.

You don't understand how much I want an exhaust. I can't wait till thy LI meet to see some options. I am just looking for a very specific sound.

I talked to this old guy that has a gs400 and he said that for the first couple hundred miles after installing the Piggy Back ECU and the intake to really "drive" the car basically beat on it. Is this true?

Default Man, that makes me psyched for the used SRT that is in the FedEx pipeline, winging...

...its way towards me as we speak, err, correspond, errrrr, type.

Got into an argument with my wife re the "value" and "need" for the intake. Are you kidding me? Who doesn't NEED an SRT intake? Now really.

I don't know if you need to beat on it, but I sort of have. I mean it's cold, nothing to do outside, tank full of gas, I just have to punch it. I love it when the VVTi switches over, completely different car at that point.

So far, all my friends like it. And it just puts a smile on my face. And that is the most important part.

Get an L-Tuned Exhaust to complete the combo, you won't regret it
