Spoiler help
I just got a factory style spoiler and got it painted. Now comes installation. I just don't know where exactly to place it. I took that carpet thing off the inside trunk lid to see if there was a special place where the holes where to be drilled but all I got from that was some broken clips. HELP!!!

just find a place and drill. Find a place where it looks like it's the bottom of the spoiler and drill away.

My car dealer had to replace my trunk Lid after they could not get my factory Spoiler back on right without it bouncing like rubber when I closed my Trunk! Don't even think of trying it yourself unless you want to risk that! My dealer did say the non factory Spoilers stayed on my securely than the factory one if done right.

BTW...my dealership messed up my first trunk installing a factory spoiler when I bought it new, so they replaced it. Now, my car is having another one installed because of someone denting it, but its all good...

I personally would have the dealership install it. Also, I think there is an added spring so the trunk lid opens and closes better with the spoiler. The install should not cost much.

the trunk tension adjusting is a very simply DIY job. I did it my self in a few minutes and it did help alittle.

If I'm on a slope pointed upwards, I could decapitate myself mine is so loose.

Spoiler
The spoiler should have come with a few items - a template for mounting - so you know where and how big to drill the holes. An second it should have come with come with urethane/rubber/neoprene gaskets that go inbetween the spoiler and the trunklid to keep from making noise and the metal on fiberglass rubbing/wearing away the paint. It's not something I would recommend doing yourself - if you tighten it too much you could damage the spoiler, as well as bend the trunklid.
The tension rods are an easy fix - I posted detail instructions a while back - I'll see if I can find them and repost the link here.

Well I went ahead and got my spoiler on, it is a tiny bit off but no one can tell. Really looks good except I scratched the edge of it pretty good during install so I just hit it with tuch-up paint, oh well good enough for me.
