i got the 4800K OE lexus hid for 06+ for my gs3 and it goes freakin far! i need to lower the headlamps some how cuz ppl are flippin me off cuz they think im high beaming them LOL
yea 14k is little 2much i think between 4000-6000 is best, i am using 6000k hid kit ,, doesn’t perform well on halogen headlight, i just dont have time for retros......
Keep in mind those kelvin ratings are all over the place. There's really no standard by which aftermarket HID makers in China abide by. Someones 6k might be blue and 8k is purple, and you move onto another brand and its flipped around. Or someone might sell a 6000k HID kit as a 12000K or 14000K. It's all just BS ratings if you ask me lol. I guess the whole trend of going with advertising/marketing really high kelvin numbers was because a lot of less informed people think Kelvin is light output brightness when really it has nothing to do with that. The higher on the kelvin scale you go, you actually lose light output as well as much of the CRI of the light being thrown out. So you don't just have a dimmer bulb, most of the light being thrown out isn't too easy on your eyes. Long story short...keep the high color bulbs for show and 4300-6000k for the road. It's for your own safety
