I think the first major service was at 15k which cost me around 350. If its a normal service, like 100. Hope that helps!

MikeGS4PE ,

Thanks for the reply. I just thought that it gets higher in price.. I paid around the same for my 15k service so I just thought that they would hike up the price on my next service..

15k, 30k, 45k, 60k, etc. are all major services and they usually cost around 300 bucks. 60k might be more. I just did my 30k and it's around $270.

others at 5k intervals are oilchanges with inspections. Should cost around 100~130 or so.

I don't know what sort of inspection they do besides a visual ...

What kind of inspection are you mentioning GLOBE?

But oil changes run me about 45-55 depending on where i want to take it ...

The 60K service was quoted to me from 3 Lexus dealers at $1000. HA! F that. I called a Toyota dealer who would do it for $500. Then I decided to just order the parts from Carson and have my local garage that I use to it for $200.

These services are sooooo simple, there is no reason to drop $375. Take it to a good shop, keep your reciept and you still have your car in great shape, your warranty, and money in your pocket.

Why would you spend upwards of $50k-$60K on a car and then scrimp when it comes to $1K for scheduled maintenance?

WTF are you talking about? Scrimping is having a qualified person do the exact same service that Lexus would do but for less money?

I take it you buy your tires directly from Lexus for $300 a pop vs. buying them online for $200? Why not, if you buy a $50-$60K car. Just like paying $100 for an oil/filter change when I can have a local guy do it for $20. Maybe their relationship with the tire manufacturer gets me a new rubber compound, and I understand the oil companies sprinkle gold dust in the oil.

I am glad you showed me the error of my ways and how I have been 'scrimping' on things. I have to go now. I have an appointment with my Lexus dealer to give him the difference I paid for the car from list price. He deserves it.
