Question Anybody replaced HID Bulbs?

My 98 Gs300?s HID look really dull, blueish barely white, not really bright as on new cars. I will check them at dealership. If there is no defect, they probably need to be replaced as they aged. Do HID bulbs age, loose brightness? Where to buy chip? Is it easy to replace without dealer?

What set of parking lights and high beam bulbs should I buy to match my HID? Where to buy? What are the safest, the best?

HID are "suppose" to last longer than the life of the car. Since yours is a 98, it still should be shining brightly, mine is.

HID is going to cost you some $$$, but its well worth the money because I wouldn't want some imitation on my lex.

I've replaced my HID bulbs before with Philips Ultinon 6000k ones. They're alot brighter than stock.

HIDs should last you a whole decade. If you think they're dull then try getting some 6000ks. Maybe that'll help. But it's alot bluer than stock.

Globe: Would you mind telling me where and how much you paid for those? Did you install those bulbs on a stock HID system or a aftermkt HID system?

i don't have them anymore. Those are testing units from Philips and I've decided not to keep them.

They're selling those now. Lowest price I've found: 350 USD.

reflector. If they're projectors they'll look like little round foglights. S2000, Audis, BMWs all use projectors.

So you'll need D2R bulbs.
