Default My new GS400...56k not a good idea

well it is not new, but you know what I mean. I had a fully loaded 1998 burnished gold GS400 HID's, yellow fogs, nacakmichi, with 20's and a roof spoiler, and trunk with no spoiler but I traded that for this

LONG STORY, there are some members in my family that take advantage of others, since the age of 14 I bought my own car (96 camaro Z28) working hard and with my own money, everytime I let my family get involved with something of mine, it bites me back hard. Basically a family member took out a loan on it with the cars title, and is paying it off very slowly and the car just didnt feel mine anymore, I no longer drove it, just sat in the garage.

Was sick of having a car, that i was too scared to put any more mods on it, so he came acquired this diamond in the roug, and I finally just bit the bullet and gave him my gs and he gave me this one, he still owes me some money tho.

anyways enough about me and more about the car. It is 98 GS400 with 100 and some thousand miles. It has a wood kit, but I am pretty sure it is loaded with Pioneer, and no HID's clear fogs(this I do not mind) and basically well you guys no the options our cars come with

From the exterior I would rate this car about a 9 out of 10

interior needs some work tho, I would rate it a 6 out of 10

engine I would rate a 7 out of 10 due to the "ESC" light being on as well as "ABS" engine itself purrs, well very nice.

on with the pics, I forgot to unlock the cars, and well it is like 0 degrees out and then factor in the windchill, this made for a 2.7 min photo shoot lol

DONT MIND THE DIRT LOL,

I am working on acquiring the interior pieces that I need to make this car a "dime piece" a really good detailing would probably make a big difference.

put I am looking to get rid of the trunk with spoiler, will have a shop take it off, better would be if someone was wanting to trade.

also need
1 rear leather seat, maybe new carpet (need to take it to the detailers first see what they think)
1-center console
1-steering wheel
some new mats
a set of 194 bulbs, lights out warning is on due to this (this will be easy)
also needs a good oil change, tune up, which reminds me I also need the stock engine cover.

The rear seat is lifted out of position, I need to find out what is causing the ESC and ABS lights to be on,

my mods are going to be probably first the trunk, then the tails, grille, HID's possibly, new tint, and when I get the rest of my money, amd about by spring time i will probably slap on some wheels.

NOW A GOOD QUESTION this color is kind of unique, still not sure if I like it, but would polished wheels look better on this car? or should I look at going chrome?

thanks for looking guys and stay tuned as I should start digging into this thing soon!

I like that color a lot. Good luck with modding. I would put polished wheels on it definitly i don't think chrome would look as nice as the polished wheel set up. IMO

thanks, for the comments!!! I have to admit the color is quickly growing on me.

I saw someone on here that has the same color with polished wheels. I thought they looked pretty nice.

anyone know if these tires are good. Someone I know wants to buy the wheels, but I do not know if I want to sell them, and if I did I do not know how much to sell them for. I think they look pretty good for OEM.

What color is that? Bronze?

Is the hood open in some pictures and not others?

Looks like the chrome 16's are in good shape.

yea the hood is open in some pictures, forgot to close it. Thanks for the comments guys.

I am in the process of tracking down the parts, I found a salvage yard in CA that has all the parts I need for about trying to negotiate the price tho. I would buy, but he says it is too hard to take pictures, that the parts are all ready off the car and in a trailer??

So I am not sure, whats going to happen. Kind of hard to track these parts down with my work schedule, will probably call local places during lunch all next week.

and iasc300 I will get it out as soon as I start put together everything.

thanks again for the comments guys

One of the salvage yards here in town has two GS 300's. You might want to give them a call. But they were way over priced on a wheel when I tried to get one last year.
