Exclamation E-bay Scammers

Hi everyone, I was watching a episode of Judge Judy that I DVR'ed which had a dispute about a woman who paid a couple of hundred of dollars for a item which she thought where cell phones and in return got photos mailed to her by the seller. It was a clear cut scam and plaintiffs won cuz the seller included the weight of the phones in the description which Judge Judy picked up on and lashed out to the defendant asking "Does this look like 4.40 ounces?" while holding the photos and envelope in which they came in.
There's a lot of stuff mentioned here in Club Lexus about items being bought on E-bay. I for one have bought many items for my ride and previous ones. Sometimes a person can get caught up on a item and may not read all of the print or the "fine print". So far the sellers that I bought items from my car have been legit. Most likely some of us have purchased things from the same sellers with no problems. In the end I just wanted to grab the seller by the neck and shake her cuz she kept on denying that it was a scam. RIGHT, who would charge that kinda money for photos? A scammer would. She needed a good Judge Judy lashing.

lol man that's crazy. I usually pay only via Paypal on ebay because it has that protection policy. If that doesn't go through, I can just cancel the charge on the credit card if the seller never sends the item. I only had one bad dealing in the 5-6years I've been using ebay. Where the sellers account got hacked and the scammer posted up a bunch of items for sale. I paid for a hard drive and never got it. It took about 2weeks for paypal to recover my money.

Yea you really have to be careful what you buy on there. Sometimes you're better off paying more money. I was actually considering buying an Eclipse AVN5500 off of eBay but I just went to a local installer and had them price match crutchfield's price. I could have gotten it for a couple hundred less but I may not have gotten it at all. I try not to buy too much high-priced stuff on eBay. I've only been buying things are less than $100 or so just in case.
