28.

I am impressed with the 18-23 year olds who can afford this car. Back then I was barely able to pay my rent.

Default Think outside of the box!

Not me,

I always love big car, roomy carbin, lot of trunk space, comfortable seat, Domestic Car Owner. Love the big and soft ride of the giant cars: Buick La Sable, Lincon Towncar. Anyway, my GS turns out to be perfect for me, it's big, got EVERYTHING I wanted from a car. Best thing is, I can clear the front hood from where I'm seating/driving. I'm 5.3 HAHA!

In any case, you know you got a good car no matter what age you are, I am 27, got mine last year....very impress and bit jeoulous with the younger brothers who got it made with the GS hahahah J/K Yeah, I barely got enough gas in my car, left alone thinking of the ultimate driving machine GSxxx (no, not BMW).

I'm 22, it was my dream car for a while. Climbed through the ranks, had a Nissan 200SX and then three Maximas, finally was able to buy this one from a private party outright without any help from anyone. So far, it has worked for me in many special ways as the exterior styling is to die for, the interior is perfect for me as well. In terms of reliability and consistency, if I had to rate my previous Loaded 98 Maxima SE 5 Speed, it would get a 10, this car, maybe a 6.5 at best. Both cars had the exact same mileage when I purchased them, both had very caring owners(Amazing original paint finish on both) and both were from the suburbs. The Maxima gave me absolutely no issues while I owned it, so far this car has more issues than my previous 4 cars combined.

-Horrible low idle problem that all 98-99 GS 4 owners seem to be plagued with
-2 New Tires/Wheel Alignment/Wheel Balancing/(New Right Tie Rod/New Left Lower Control Arm)-My Fault
-1 Popped Tire/3 Flats
-1 New HID Bulb/Left Side
-New Rear Brake Pads

I guess those arent really big issues at all, but what really bothers me is the sheer inconsistency and how unpredictable the car really is. One day its absolutely flying in every way, and the next day its a Yugo. The car is very noisy, maybe it has to do with my Nankang 245/45 rubber, but in general its just not as refined as most comparable MB and BMW products, its just pretty damn clumsy overall.

I've decided that I'll probably be unloading it later on this year. Still havent determined what I'll be replacing it with. In a perfect world, it would be a 2001 BMW 540IS 6 Speed but from what I hear, I might be living in the repair shop somewhere down the line with a car like that.

although you have bought both your GS/Maxima at same milages, you really can't judge/rate the GS400 this way. That is the risk you take when you perchase a used car, you are never sure how exactly the precious owner has drivien it. I haven't got a single problem for my GS. nor have I heard many from the owners who perchased GS4 first hand.

540i isn't even close to GS4's QA, whether 01 or 99.

all in all, I certain hope the best for your GS

I certainly hope you wouldnt have a single problem on your GS. I wouldnt expect a single problem on almost every 2002 Japanese car out there since they are still practically new. Not to mention one with a $55K price tag.

To all you people that are 18-24 years old with GS's especially those that are modded up (rims, drop, tv's etc..) don't stranger gives you weird looks when they see a young guy driving this car? I get that crap all the time and my co-workers think I am a drug lord or something.

This line "Where do you get all the money from?" is what people tell me EVERYTIME and its starting to annoy me. I tell them, its NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS.
