Default 98 GS300 VSC/CHK Engine light

I was recently involvded in a accident, it destroyed my back bumper, rear right side fender and suspension in the back everything is now replaced. Just got my car back from the sterling mcall lexus body shop and everything is working fine until 1 or 2 hours later my "Check Engine" light and VSC & VSC/OFF light all comes on and remains on it is still on as of now, haven't took it to autozone to scan the ecu error codes yet or anything but i just wanted to know what might be the problem? everything seems to be running fine still starts fine and drives fine but the lights are bugging the crap out of me. And I got no traction control so my tires spin out in the rain...

BTW I do have an intake.

if they repaired your car just go back to them. Dont waste time otherwise they might say that its a previous problem you had.

Yeah i would just take it back to the shop and let them deal with it. Since you mentioned they have replaced the suspension, they may have overlooked the sensors for the VSC.

Im having the same problem with my 05 GS, just got back from the shop about a month ago from an accident now all of a sudden check engine light and VSC and VSC OFF light is on. My vehicle is still under warranty, should i take it back to the lexus service for them to check for me? Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks

theres speed sensors in the back of the car? mabe the ABS module got roughed up from the accident? i believe the ABS module is by the gas tank?
we only have two speed sensors in the front no? correct me if im wrong -=) but thats what i'm recallin. Well even if the repair shop fixed your body work the speed sensors might not be there problem and if this was an insurance job i suggest you go get your supplement NOW! before the insurance company trys to play u off! g'Luck and my ABS and both VSC light on on due to my front right speed sensor i think the car drives better without the traction! especially the snowdays like today! lol

my GS400 is also having this issue.

check engine light, VSC, and VSC off (so is it on or off? LOL). I'm borrowing my friends scanner soon, but was curious as to what it might be. Better be an easy fix...

I had this problem TWICE. It came on...then back off after a few hours of the car running. Ive never had the issue again since then.

Your gas cap wasn't closed properly. Make sure to always allow three clicks. If you don't you'll loose pressure and these particular lights will come on. If you correct it, the lights will go off in a few days. If you want them off now, then disconnect your battery and before you reconnect it, make sure the cap is tightened. Works everytime.

i have had this problem for over a year. lol. sometimes the vsc on and off, appears and check engine...sometimes it doesnt... it used to bug the hell out of me, i just pay it no mind now. But it pisses me off sometimes cause people will be like "what the hell is wrong with ur car, why u have all those warning lights on?"
