$690 for 60,000 service?
Is this an average price? This was quoted to me from the Garden Grove dealership.
What did you guys pay, and what are the best and yet reasonably priced dealerships in LA?

the question would be, what do you drive?? If timing belt needs to be changed, $690 is an absolute giveaway. If you have a GS300, I'm assuming the maintainence schedule is very similar to my SC300........and your timing belt is changed at 60k......this, in conjunction with all the other stuff, was somewhere north of $1000 as I recall. Although the timing belt subject has been done to death, I changed mine (some have gone close to 90k) because, if it goes, you get to buy a whole new top end for your motor.
So, tell us more.........and we will reveal all.

Thanks for the reply GS4will, but most of other dealers charge about a $100 cheaper but do not but checking beside change some fluids. And they aslo quote for $475 to change the timing belt. My car is 55,000 mile should I change it or wait till 90,000; what's your advice? Thanks

Dan,
the timing belt issue continues...many new cars now recommends 90k miles. i would def check with your manual + dealer service. just make sure you follow the lex guide lines to avoid potential problems.
wow, the maintenance cost is really expensive in your area. do you know of any good, relaible tech guy? some of cl guys i know basically ordered all the essential parts from steve at carson toyota and pay their tech guy couple hours of labor for the 60k mile service.
