Im new in this forum getting a gs400 with some miles on it. i just want to knoe how hard is it and what special part needed to do a 2jzte swap in the g400 or whould it be better just getting a gs300? thanks

the general consensus here is that it is MUCH easier doing a 2JZ-GTE swap in a GS300

because the engine mounts for i6 and V8 are different

Why would you want to swap for a 2JZ? You would have to change the GS400 badge to a GS300 badge. But seriously, if you're going to go through all the trouble of putting a 2JZ into a GS4 you might as well either get a GS3 or just supercharge or turbo your GS4. Buy that twin turbo setup in the classifieds.

The Gte will fit in the 400 just fine.

get a gs400 and supercharge it. i think that would be a better way to go.
but if your a speed demon, then gs300 and gte swap. hope u got big pockets $$$$$

Swapping a 2jzgte into a GS4 doesn't make sense. It would be much wiser to get a GS3 and do the swap. Or, you could get the GS4 and supercharge or TT it like others have suggested. You could also just get the GS3 and turbo it without having to swap in the 2jzgte.

The choice is yours, but if you're planning on doing the swap, get the GS3.

If you do the swap and get a 400 sell me the 1uz in it. HAHA.
But like everyone said, if you're set on swapping a 2jz-Gte then get the 300 instead.

But what is the difference from swapping 2jz into a 400? is it just mounts or are there other things that need to be changed that already comes with the 300?
