i love my interior and I feel it will be complete when I add the blackwood steering from Grazio-Co I have. It's way chubbier than my regular steering wheel and honestly their leather matches the airbag better.

I think this poll has answered your question... there are 12 people who prefer a regular GS compared to the 11 people who prefer the Platinum? I don't even know how that's possible. The amount of people who prefer the Sport Design (31) is more than the Platinum and regular GS combined!

Platinum was a partnership deal with AMEX, people who bought them actually also got AMEX and a couple other goodies.
Includes badging in black pearl, different 16" wheels polished, badging on the fenders and a lighter color wood.

SD GS 300 only, black pearl badging, greywood in 2002-2003, different shiftknob, chrome grill, darker colored wheels.
In 2004 it included dark tint headlights, different badging in the front fender and you did not get blackwood. Also could get a SD Crystal white/black leather.
The op never asked what they are...maybe s/he wanted to know which ones more popular within the CL crowd?

You must not have much experience with these German automakers. There is quite a bit of difference between a Mercedes Benz E320 and E55 AMG, as well as the BMW 325 & BMW M3.
