2GS factory sub removal??
last week i installed my avn6600 nav unit, so since there is no use for my stock sub, cd changer, and amp, i plan on removing them either today or some time this week.
i can figure out how to uninstall the cd changer and factory amp, but i can't seem to access the screws that secure the factory sub. i did a few searches but came up empty. i know there has to be a walk though out there somewhere, if any of you can post a link to a 2gs factory sub removal thread or write up a few pointers, i would appreciate it.
thanks
Jeff

remove the lower back seat, just pull up on 2 sides near the front edge.
remove back seat backing by unbolting 2 bolts behind head rests and 6? by the bottom by the seat belt locks.
move the backing forward to you have space to work with
remove the C pillar trims by just pulling it out
on the near edge of the rear deck, there's about 3 plastic tabs you just pry out with flat head
pull the rear deck towards you and move it so you have room
you'll now see the stock sub.
DO NOT just pull the rear deck's speaker grill! I was told that and did it, yes I do see the sub and bolts, but it broke all my tabs for the grill and now I have no way of securing it down other than just gravity and tape.

It's a PITA the first time you do it, but after that, it's not bad. I've taken my sub out 3 times, it's easy now. It takes practice
