isn't there a plug, screw or something to take off and all the oil drains out completely?

Hi, we use valvoline at the dealership I work at, just make sure the bottle you used or going to use says meets oem standards. I believe ours says ford, chevy, toyota, lexus.

If you want to speed up the process, take this approach:

1. Siphon old fluid
2. Pour new fluid
3. Turn steering wheel lock-to-lock 5 times

Repeat steps 1-3 about three to five times and you should only have new fluid left.
Yes and make sure you do not puncture or push in the metal screen in the middle of the resevoir.

1 quart should be enough. The reservoir is small and the fluid line itself to the pump is also small. I was able to get the fluid to the new red color by the 4th trial. I had some left to do one more car in the family.

thanks for writting this tread, it looks very easy just to change the ps fluid, but I have heard that the air bubble will get in or do a bleed right, anyone knows this is true or not,
no need to do a bleed right, just pump out and pour new ps fluid, correct me or any ideas on this would help every body

thanks

isn't a few bucks to do at a quick lube shop? and they continue to run it till you actually see the fluid changing to clear red... takes a few minutes, in and out

I can appreciate DIY's, but this is a one time event?
