yes the VB can be upgraded

see that would blow my budget way out of the water if I decided to rebuild and boost the 1uz, as great as that would be, it would not be worth it in my opinion for this car, reliability would be out the door and I would not be able to use it as my daily driver. Now some may say otherwise, but in my experience with aftermarket turbos, its just one thing after another, which I don't mind for a track car, but for a dd that isn't feasible.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but you are looking at this setup from lextreme correct?

Stage I:
Bottom End:
· Clean & Check for cracks
· Machine & Hone Block
· Install Ross Custom Forged Pistons with custom compression ratio (recommend stock compression)
· Install New Performance Rings
· Install New Performance pins
· Install New Performance Rod bearings, thrust bearings and main bearings
· Balance and blueprint rotating assembly

Who will be doing the 4.3L work?

the 4.3 work is something lextreme suggested. but I don't think I,m going that route. cost compared to gains is not justified.

so now choices are 2jz so I can boost the gs w/ less worry compared to boosting the 1uz, and long term cost. Or get a new car like STI, if I go with a new car then i'd like it turbo from, factory. like I mentioned I used to boost and I miss it. tough choice.
