Passenger door wont lock

Im a noob at this car stuff. when i lock my car with my clicker, the passenger door is unresponsive, my friend recommended me to take off the door and ground it. is this what i shoud do? how do i do it?

sounds like the door actuator. do a search there are many threads on it.
