If someone's interested in getting retrofits for their car, this is a PERFECT solution and it's relatively CHEAP. As far as the angel eyes are concerned - hello- if you don't like them, just don't hook up the wires that power them. if you want some projector retrofits - buy these and buy an HID kit for it and you're DONE!!

I like the whole idea of a retrofit however, if I break my headlights for some reason then I will have to pick up used ones which would cost at least $400. This is the reason that turns me away from the retrofit. Plus my mom would KILL me if she sees my headlights in the oven!!! LOL!!! What's for dinner...2000 GS400 headlights with plastic on the side!!!

In our household, the oven has been used to open headlights more than to bake food!

Also, there will probably be at least 5 different versions of aftermarket headlights by then as well. Still though, I don't quite like the look of those headlights lol. The halo's are too freakin small. Maybe the next version released will look better.
What exactly is a retrofit? Taking another car's headlights and putting them in your housings?

Make sure you use Pam so the plastic doesn't stick when you're cooking it..

Where can you get a retro done for 500.00 The ebay lights do look cheap. I'd rather spend the extra coin and get the Q45 done.. Thats just my opinion

If you want Q45 projectors, then will cost you more than $500. They usually go from $400 or $600 w/ ballasts & bulbs. Although, I'd rather use LS430 projectors, just because the output is much better.

nonononononoooooooo.............. these are the headlight equivalent of all those crappy altezza tails that have littered the aftermarket.

Put simply, these headlights make the baby Jesus cry!

I agree that the black one looks crappy, but 1st ones don't look bad. I'd have to see them in real life.

I've been thinking of doing a retrofit in the future. These are tempting because I'd DEFINITELY buy a second set of headlights which can cost from $200-500. Retrofitting would take me at least 12 hours of my time. That's easily worth the difference in price. I've already got a plug and play kit, so I could just put my 9006 bulbs in these.

I wouldn't hook up the angel eyes though.
