Default How much hp to wheels on a Stock GS300?

Does anybody know, how much horsepower the stock GS300 has taking into account the weight of the car. Did anybody do a dyno test, because i was told that it is much lower than 220 hp and even lighter cars like accord, bmw 3 series and other cars with similar hp can smoke my car. Also when speeding my gears shift very slow but smooth, i guess i should try the power button next time...

thats soo low, its humiliating, i was expecting a bit higher.... These days the listed HP for new cars is the actual hp with weight because of the new SAE standards.

when i dyno my gs stock, it was 171 rwhp
now after exhaust, intake and S-afc, plus a tc, 192 rwhp...
a gs300 doesn't push much without going FI

headers and cam gear goes in next week,, hoping numbers are better

The SAE standards don't use weight since the test doesn't include the drive line. The standards make sure all accessories and fluids are in the motor when they are tested.

A few companies were shorting the test motor a few quarts of oil just to get a few more hp out of it.

It still doesn't take into effect of drive train loss, which is why your motor would dyno so low.

If I'm not mistaken the hp numbers given by manufacturers is the engine's hp not to the wheels.

dotn be disappointed. all data provided by the car mfrs are either fluctuated or less for some political reason. you should also know, most cars hp are in the 200 range now. its not like back in the early 90's when cars had mid 100hp and that was fast, and if u had a car w/over 200hp, you were flying. be hapy with your decision, if not, boost! just my 0.02
