Healight Retrofit Help
I have finally decided to take the plunge and do an HID retrofit on my non-HID halogen housings. I have narrowed it down to two choices; the 04-06 TL bi-xenon projectors or the LS430 projectors. What is everyone's input/vote and why?
I am considering doing the retrofit myself, but I have never done one and I am worried about messing it up. If anyone on here is confident that they can do it for me or has experience with retrofits please pm me and maybe we can work something out. I really don't want it to look cheap or ghetto so having it done professionally is definitely an option.

Bi-xenon works. Trust me I have it running on my car As for retrofitting, the TL is gonna be way harder than the LS430. The TL isn't huge, but it just has an oddly shaped hump at the bottom(bi-xenon solenoid). It took me over 20hours of work to complete my quad projector retrofit with TL's and TSX.
I haven't worked with the LS430 in the GS yet, but it seems like it would be a much easier fit than the TL.

If I were you and had no prior experience retrofitting, I would pay someone for professional work. On the other hand, you gain experience through trial-and-error, but I don't know if you're willing to pay for such a costly lesson. Remember, JeffTsai had to start somewhere. Now he is the King of Retrofits and I think he is aiming for the Turbo Guru title soon also.

You can't go wrong either way. If you want that ability to highbeam with your HID, then go with the TL projectors. If you want that cool wide spread of beam, go for the LS430.
Lots of people are starting to consider an LS430 retro. I remember when I did mine, probably only 3 LS430 retro existed that time

Yeah, I have rx330 retro now. Im building a LS430 / Valeo High retro right now. Im done with the LS low, on to the high. Its not hard, just time consuming and scary your first time. Thats why I did a budget retro first before my money LS retro. Good luck. Just take your time.

If the only added benefit of having TL projectors or bi-xenon projectors is the ability to have HID highbeams, I would choose the LS430 projectors for the wider beam pattern. The benefit of that is... everytime you drive at night vs. using your highbeams every so often.

Ive done three retros in my cars in my 1st gen gs I had rs6 projectors then I did a tsx retro with the washer mod but in my 2nd gen gs i did a ls430 retro with the tsx lense swap and now Im thinking about doing a ls 460 retro but those puppies are hard to come by, just get some spare lights so if you screw up you wont suffer any down time and you can still drive your car at night.

I have a set of Q45 projectors still sitting around. I'm not sure if I want to put them in my car yet because they are only single beam. Once you go bi-xenon you never go back...or well it's very hard to

Me and you both are in the same boat. I have decided to take the plunge. Now I just need someone take do it for me. I don't have the time or the skill to do it on my own.
