i test drove this exact car(for the fun of it). the dealer is close to where i reside. i must admit, it picked up faster than my gs300 but i still love my car.
if it helps anyways, he agreed to $15,000 canadian when i bargained with him and am sure if i was serious i would have talked him to about 13,500. so don't let him rip you off if you decide on buying it.
Car was clean in and out though.
good luck with the search.

For a comparable paint job with a change of colour you're paying a lot of money. I was quoted $6000 from Budds', but they're supposed to be the best in the area and were going to use special paint from Germany. That being said, a good paint job will probably out do 9 year old Lexus paint even if it does look good. I'd only do it if financially it made sense and I knew the job would be comparable or better than the factory paint. I would be more inclined to do it if getting a bunch of new body pieces (body kit, spoilers, bumpers) or if a certain colour was of my liking that's not available on the GS.

I would get the color I wanted and not buy a differently colored one if I were you.
When I bought my GS 4 years ago, I really wanted a blue one but got impatient and got the silver one instead. To this day, I regret not waiting and finding a blue one instead.

I would get SILVER Black is sweet when clean but keeping it clean is HELLA hard also when it gets dirty it looks like warm dookie!!! I have a blk/blk. I think I would have went with Silver and Black and NO WING!!! But dont get me wrong, now I have it I wouldn't trade it for the world!!!
Oh Yeahh get the 400 like everyone else said but make sure with the 98's to check the rear door actuators. The rears, if ajar, may not trigger the dome light and/or the dash light. Safety hazard for kids IMHO.
