Default Rear View Mirror Broken (2nd time)

My rear view mirror came out of it's thingy today. lol sorry for my terminology. The mirror is supposed to snap into place with these two little ***** on each side that keep it from coming loose. A friend borrowed drove and adjusted the mirror and it came off. The first time it happened, the car wash guy said that he was just wiping the mirror and it snapped off. He said that I knew about it and tried to blame him. I dont know why I'm having this problem and I was wondering if anyone else was having it. The first time I got it fixed at a locate garage, and this time I went to Lexus, cost me roughly $40 each time. It's a cheap fix but it's a ***** driver and holding the mirror so it doesn't smash into the windshield. I know at least 3 other GS owners and nobody has this problem.

yup i had the same problem, once those little ball come out ur real F%$^ you got to buy new mirror lol but what i did went to local glass shop and they put on some super glue harder (but i forgot the name of the glue) on the silver metal mount piece and the black metal inner case which have the ***** on each side. Its takes a day to dry and Harding but it did the trick for now tell i break again with my system lmao
