Navigation calibration
Heyas,
I have a 2002 baby, and I just upgraded the navigation DVD from version 1 (2001) to version 12 (late 2006).
The upgrade went fine, but I'm finding that it's behind by about 5+ metres.
I keep calibrating every time I get a chance when I stop, but shortly afterwards I'm back to being a few metres behind on the map to where I should be physically.
Has anyone else experience this?
Any hints/tips/suggestions?
Thanks,
Loryan

I went from a 2001 disk to a 2006 disk last January....
...and I didn't have any problems. There is a calibration routine that should have run (and should be detailed in your book). Have you cycled thru that yet? If you're still having problems, I'd check with the dealer, even if he didn't sell you the upgraded DVD - the nav should not be consistently off the data points on the map.

It did run an upgrade routine, but no calibration. Just spoke to the dealer and they haven't heard about it, but suggested that I bring the car in to have a look - maybe one of the engineers will know.

Any report on problem resolution? I'm really curious why you'd have such a problem.
I live in the Boston area and my nav got completely geflutered driving amonst the tall buildings the other day, right after coming out of a tunnel.
Hope your dealer could fix things.
