Default Buying a GS 300

Hello Everybody,

I am looking to trade in my 2002 BMW 530i for a 2001 GS 300 and I was wondering if you guys have anything to say about this change. How problematic are GS's? I've had a few problems with my BMW and I decided to get rid of it. This is the specific GS I was looking at http://wwwheels.com/cfapps/car.cfm?I...58&cfreferrer=

Thanks!

Definitely a hot GS. But if I were you I would step up to the 400 because the 300 may be a little weak for you. I haven't had one problem with mine in the 6 years I have had it (knock on wood). If you plan on going FI in the future then I would definitely pick up that GS3. Or if you just don't plain care about power then that is one clean GS3.

IMO a GS is way less problematic than a BM. GS is a solid car.

knowing what i know now, the only reason to get a gs3 is if you want to go turbo.

if i had to do it over again, i'd go gs4x0

GS is a very reliable car...most of the issues are relatively minor. Almost all of the problems were sorted out by the end of the production cycle.

Try this thread about some potential problems...https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=244106

Good luck with your search!

This will definitely a DD driver because I have a 300zx as my weekend car, I just wanted something more reliable than the BMW. If I do mod it, it will be just tasteful mods, sound system? LS rims? It already has tint. Plus I can get that one at a very good price. Is 76k a lot for a GS300?

My BMW also has 76k miles, and that is considered high for a BMW, that's why I'm contemplating to get rid of it.

Default Gs3

Welcome. The GS3 looks very nice! I have the exact same color but I have a 430, and my leather is gray. Before buying the GS3, I would definitely recommend driving a GS4 first. I've read a lot of posts of GS3 owners who wished they bought a GS4. 76k is nothing also. It's not even broken in yet. I haven't had any problems, just taking it in for oil changes. I love my car, and mods aren't difficult. I hope this helps.
