GS430 wont start
I was gonna sell the car last month, but then changed my mind.. big mistake. Now the car isn't starting - I turn the key,and it just goes "trrrrrrrr", all the lights are blinking and engine isnt cranking. The battery is fine, because the headlights work.Am I looking at a new starter here?

I know you said the battery ok but did you try to jump it anyways?? I had an IS before but gave it to the wife. I didn't use it for an entire weekend and tried to start it on a Monday. No go. The lights went on and eveything but the engine wouldn't turn over. I got a jump and it started up. For some reason, the Lexus battery isn't that strong. The same thing almost happend to my GS I have now...

Dont bother with optima batteries.
Just use any regular battery. Unless you have a huge demand for power, a regular battery works just fine. The battery is only used to start up the car, not run it. I'm running a duralast battery. Run any battery you like, but for the most part, any would do. Optima is twice as expensive, but is it really worth it on a stock GS? Some people have problems with them, while others done. It's a hit and miss.

Any will do! but find one with the correct side poles. The higher CCA will be best (cold cranking amps) 700 or over is ussually good.
If you have a powerful sound system you might consider a higher
Best bet is check your car by Autozone. They will check the charging system ans install the correct battery.
