Default Front Strut bars

Just bought 01 g2430 took it to the lex dealer to run a diagnostic test and they told me i need two front strut bars, there price was expensive. I would like to know, whats the purpose of the front stut bars and does anyone know a good website i can go to, to order?

Tower strut bars or sways?

Our cars don't come with a tower strut bar stock...

I am sure you mean 2 front STRUTS, not bars. Yes you need them if they are worn.

Oh ok the consultant wrote on this paper i have 2 front strut bars and the price was like 558, and he said it had something to do with drifting and to give the car better control on the turns...

Struts, are shocks. I recommend maybe finding some old L-tuned shocks, or KYB shocks or Bilstien. Great time to add springs too, since they have to take the mount off.

I am experience a vibration at highway speeds and a clunking noise. The dealer told me that I need lower ball joints, a left side upper contol arm and Front Strut bars. The tech showed them to me and they are located on the bottom of the car. They cost $179 each. I am looking for them cheaper online.

What is it with dealers and their terminology?

What does the bar look like?

I just call the dealer and they said they are also known as strut rods. Here are the part numbers.
48660-30240 right
48670=30240 left

Those parts are called the Lower Control Arms.
