They were out

so what kind of bulbs do i need and which ones do yall use for the white effect not the stock yellow

 

194 LED or polarg M4.

 

is there any major difference between these ?

i thought those polarg m4s are for the inner headlights

 

Polarg M4 are halogen bulbs, just bright white.
LEDs are LEDs.
Here is a pic. LED to the left, M4 on the right. You can't get a better response.

 

M4s provide more light, b/c they are a bulb. LEDs are directional, they have to actually point in the direction you want to be truly effective.

I used PIAA Leds. Here they are at night.

2nd pic doesnt show that much light output and seems a lil blue.

 

I just got some polarg m4's and they look good but they don't go well with my LED tails. I'm going to switch to LED. For regular halogen tails, I think the M4's look great.

 

I use polarg M4's as do most of the others. Looks white, and lights up the license plate nicely

 

Where do you pick up the M4's from?

 

I don't think the Polarg M4 looks best for license plate lights. I'll agree with what Chris said. I also have LED tails and they aren't that bright compared to the LED tails. I had some extra M4s laying around so I just popped them in there. I'll probably get LEDs when the Polargs burn out.

Bill: You can get both of them from Ebay. There are many members that get their LEDs from superbrightleds.com (sp?) though.

I have the PIAA platinum white series wedge bulbs in mine (non LED) they look very nice (pure white and clean).

M4's here. If I went with LED's im sure the sheriffs here would pull me over in a heart beat

 

I bought mines from superbrightleds.com. I got the wide angle one, which has 5 leds pointed in diff. directions which is perfect for the lic. plate. I think it was:WLED 5-LED Wide Angle LED bulb $ 2.99 (each). good luck
