Default Brake Light on But I have plenty of fluid....

Hi guys im fairly new here and i love the forum, you guys are very helpful. I was wondering if anyone knows why my brake light would come on even when I have plenty of brake fluid and no leaks. I have a 2003 GS300 with about 45,000 miles on it. Thats for the help guys. I do have a extended bumper to bumper through warranty direct but i dunno if this would be covered.

Without a photo of your cluster, the description could be of tail light blown (or about to blow). If it is the brake light, it could be thast your auxillary brake has not released fully.

I had that problem before too. The slightest depressed of the foot brake("hand brake") set off the brake light.

Same here. Sometimes I accidentally hit the emergency brake pedal when I'm getting into the car. It doesn't take much to make that light come on.

Sorry guys i meant the interior light on the dash that says brake. It said it awhile back and i put brake fluid in the car and it was fine then it popped back on again the other day after i washed my car. I doubt that has anything to do with it but its been on constantly since then.

My dash light that says "brake" is the indicator that the emergency brake is on. Just for kicks, go out and pull the release and see if it goes away.

Pull the release and top off the fluid again. You may have a leak
