How to stop Telescopic steering wheel

There are two options.
1. The setting has been disabled electronically through the CBEST setting which requires an OEM scan tool to set.
2. It has been physically unplugged as mine was. The most likely case is that has been disconnected at the ignition lock which is the easiest place to get to. The moulding around the ignition lock pulls out but first pull out the illuminating bezel around the barrel. Once these are removed and you have access to the ignition lock, you should see a small connector at the base of the ignition lock (6 o'clock) very near the front. The connector has two black wires (with two white stripes). If this is unplugged then the auto function will not work. If it is in then either it is faulty, disconnected up stream or simply been de-programmed and so move to Option 1.
