Dropped my 02 GS on tanabes/20s and my front struts are pretty much shot.. i dunno f thats why im scraping but its real bad. everytime i turn i rub and everytime i go overa tiny little bump i scrape. dont really care about my bumper but the plastic thats behind it is tearing and such.. is it real bad to cut that plastic out? some informative thoughts plz thanks.

 

What plastic? The stuff above the wheel?

wheel offset
will help us see why you are rubbing.

 

Pics would be better, but if you can't provide that, what size tire/rim size and width/offset, what kind of drop, plastic thing (fender lining or is it scraping the fender?)

 

If your shocks are blown then they will allow the wheel to "move" more when you hit bumps etc... If you were just barely away from scraping with good shocks, once blown they may have been just enough to cause frequent scraping now. More info is really needed for a decent diagnosis though, did you have the wheels on for awhile with no scraping, did the scraping start right after the spring install or weeks later etc... Tell us everything you know
